Here comes the winter ... another north east and yorkshire wedding photography season draws to a close

What a great year, fantastic weddings at new and old venues alike, record-breaking bookings and everything looking good for 2012. Just done the last full weekend of December with one more wedding left this month and a weeks holiday in a converted chapel to look forward too for us to get a bit of 'downtime' next to the log fire and a bit of lovely countryside photography with some snow hopefully. Been quite a busy year with commercial and landscapes going well too. Havent had anywhere near enough time to post blogs etc , but then as with most good photographers we spend our time on clients and I guess without employing a blog and social media person to do it for me its never going to be updated every day lol

The competition has certainly lifted their game too in the last year with some talented new photographers appearing which is always good for business and keeps the standard high, theres still the raft of rubbish togs out there too which just help people realise they get what they pay for. I cant say the recession is really having a great deal of effect either with people still wanting to get married and do it in some style !

So, some albums to finish and the editing pile is now at last getting smaller so some time for us ! with our little one now riding his bike too we should have some good times over the next few months before its back to work.

Happy xmas all and a prosperous 2012 , Andrew and Ruth ...
