Today has been one of those days , started off burning a few disks for a client , proshow gold software is what we use for our Slideshows and its always been great. However recently since the purchase of our new Dell XPS Flying Machine ! the disks seem to be getting more and more errors. Took 4 disks today to get one good one ! and given they take a good 30-40 minutes each to burn thats a real annoyance.
Anyway some good old GOOGLING and a solution appears to be close , it seems as standard the sofware is set to record ' On the Fly ' which basically means it thrown the info straight from the program onto the disc , which requires ABSOLUTELY nothing else to be running and not the slightest change in operating speed and processing power , hardly surprising then that it gets errors and incorrectly burns disks. Wonder why the manufacturers didnt just label it ' I like to throw my money down the drain ' instead , at least we could have understood that ...
Anyway cheers ProShow for not answering your emails we got sorted I think though , the software now sends the image to the hard drive and then to the disk , which means all errors should be obliterated ...
Time will tell ........
