Urban Exploration - Derelict Buildings and Hidden Places Blog

The last couple of days have been devoted to one of my loves and probably my favourite hobby , exploring of derellict , abandoned and unusual places. I dont get to do this as often as i would love but working commitments and family life are my priorities , on the odd occasion where i can grab the time tho ... off i go ....

Yesterday was a new one for me and thanks to an explorer friend who pointed me in the right direction and came with me to this one ( alex cheers ! ) , the location is secret but the history is of a 1900s Deco Style Mill ,abandoned now for some years and absolutely vast , filled with machinery with some glorious views over a river and a city ...

The trip was as usual fun and full of surprises , entry was through a small gap in a fence past a bemused fisherman who was too busy shouting at seagulls to take much notice , and then through a lovely window left open by the notorious ' p ik ee s ' who frequent these places a lot more often than we do !

Then it was 5 hours of walking through huge rooms and halls exploring every nook and cranny ending up with a session 100 mile or so up on the roof.

On the way down we scared off a local scrapper who ran dropping his tools on the way , sorry ! lol

heres a couple of photos to wet your appetite for some Urbex !

more urbex to come soon from todays little jaunt to an old gothic college....
